Issue

Following two record seasons for both snowfall and sales, longtime client, Solitude Mountain Resort, gave PPBH the task to continue the expansion of its market share among both national and local skiers.

Solution

For the 2006/2007 season, PPBH updated Solitude’s marketing materials with a new design filled with family photos. The campaign targeted the destination traveler looking to reconnect with family, friends and nature on a ski vacation. The new design was translated to direct mail, posters, brochures, trail maps and outdoor formats as well as the resort’s website, skisolitude.com.

Results

Pre-season sales for 2006/2007 were up 30.4% over last year — with a 166% increase over the past five years. Additionally, lodging numbers were up by approximately 20% over last year.
