As one of the world’s largest material handling and automation companies, Daifuku was finding the task of orchestrating and managing multiple countries’ online environments complex and time consuming. The result — many sites had not been updated for a year or more. Daifuku sought an interactive partner that could help it organize and optimize the presentation of its product offerings on its public Web site, while at the same time provide a system to simplify content updates and manage its leads.
Solution
Working closely with Daifuku America, PPBH designed a Content Management System (CMS) that enabled authorized Daifuku team members to submit and manage content across multiple sites through a single interface. Each country affiliate maintains control of news, career, affiliate-specific content and country-specific leads while a corporate Web master controls all company product and services content. This multi-level control ensures a unified global distribution of the core products of the company while providing the freedom to customize the site to a specific country’s need.

The Daifuku America site went live in January 2008. Development and implementation of the CMS was seamless and because of the simplicity of the system, no formal training was needed. Authorized teams could begin using the CMS immediately. Following the Daifuku America site going live, the Daifuku Co., Ltd./Daifuku America/PPBH team brought an additional 14 country-specific websites live. Working with PPBH has provided Daifuku with a higher level of interactive information architecture that will help them move forward their online presence with minimal additional resources and effort.
